The 8th House of Representatives commenced work on 39 Bills which scaled first reading and equally passed 77 resolutions on critical motions in its first 100 days.
The information was released by the House Committee on Rules and Business on Bills and Resolutions of the House from June 9, 2015 to date.
Some of the bills introduced include, public interest disclosure bill, alteration to the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria bill, pension rights of judges, tertiary education trust fund Act among others.
Hon. Uzoma Nkem-Abonta (Abia/PDP) led the pack with 10 bills, followed by Hon Ossai Ossai (Delta/PDP) with 6 bills and House Speaker Yakubu Dogara (Bauchi/APC) has 4 bills to his name.
According to the document, key motions passed in the last 100 days in the 8th House include the rehabilitation, recovery and reconstruction of the insurgency-ravaged north east region, which was sponsored by House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.
